Mark Simon will be appearing at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at 7900 Sandlake Road in southern Orlando on Friday, July 29th, from 7-9 PM, signing copies of his new book, Facial Expressions: A Visual Reference For Artists.
Located in Orlando’s popular restaurant row, Friday nights are extremely busy at the bookstore due to the heavy restaurant traffic. Many of the models and artists from the book will also be in attendance.
Facial Expressions is for professional and student illustrators, cartoonists, animators, fine artists, storyboarders, comic book artists, sculptors, art teachers, painters, commercials artists and artists of all kinds. They all have need for facial references beyond their own mirrors.
Facial Expressions includes:
• 50 male and female models of many ethnicities and sizes and aged 20-83.
• Expressions photographed from multiple angles.
• Kissing Gallery.
• Phoneme Gallery featuring 4 different models.
• Phonemes shown from front and profile.
• Gallery of hats, sports headgear, ethnic headdresses and helmets.
• Skull Gallery.
• Gallery of skulls with muscles.
• Sequential Expressions Gallery.
• 150 pieces of art inspired by the photos.
